People have often asked me what my specializations are. Psychotherapy has aspects of a mutually constructed research project, in which 1) the baffling and mysterious ways in which peoples' lives "don't work" are taken apart and analyzed, and 2) and then the knowledge gained is used to develop ways of living and relating which "work better."

I require forty-eight  hours notice for cancellations during the week, seventy-two hours notice for weekend cancellations, and a Friday cancellation for appointments scheduled for the following Monday. Once treatment  is begun, I request that appointment changes be made by telephone.
